Derry/Ronna Christmas

So back to the holidays... Grandma, Papa, Toni, and Aidan drove all the way from Illinois to York on our anniversary (8 years!) and the Christmas festivities continued.  Sarah and Pierre were still recovering from being sick, but the new energy brought by Toni and Aidan helped everyone perk up a little.  They were staying at a hotel nearby that had a pool, and we were all over that!  Pierre joined us to put his feet in, and the rest of the kids (big and little) got to burn off some of their cooped-up energy.

But when all is said and done, what could be better than a cozy cuddle with Grandma?!  He was asleep in no time.

Back at the ranch, lunch officially became a 2-room affair.  So awesome to have our family all together!  The little kids table:

The next day, we left York and returned home to KoP, and the morning of the 29th was Christmas Part 2!  Liam was so excited to get a big-boy tee from Uncle Andrew and Aunt Beth:

And everyone had a blast with Joergen's new play table (which has really helped him with standing!).

Joergen opened up a super-fun gift from Aunt Vicki and Uncle Dick:

The theme of this Christmas for Liam was most definitely tools.  He got this awesome toolbox from Grandma and Papa and both Miss Doreen and Aunt Vicki and Uncle Dick gave him toys that let his inner builder shine.  I have never seen him so engrossed in play as he has been with his new tools and take-apart truck!

What better way to end a really special day than Aidan reading Go Dog Go to Liam before bed.  He just loves when his cousins read to him!

Everyone was beyond generous to us, and Joergen's first Christmas was most definitely a special one.  More on our visit with Grandma, Papa, Antonia, and Aidan to follow!
