Passing the Winter Time

Despite this long, cold winter, we have been doing our best to have some fun and keep things interesting!  It's been too cold to be outside, and no snow to play in anyway.  So to keep busy indoors...

We've built forts...

Enjoyed quality time and a lot of fun with Genevieve and Colin...

Visited the Please Touch Museum...

Played with our Christmas presents (and made some cool crafts with this sand art kit from Miss Anita!)...

Showed some love...

Found on the mirror in my closet, it says "I love you Mom, Liam" in dry-erase marker
Watched movies at home...

And at the theater...

Volunteered for the MLK Day of Service at the Friends Association...

Read tons of books...

And played a lot of football with these two tough guys :)

We're heading into "birthday season" which should certainly keep things interesting...!

New Year's Day

Since the little ones didn't make it to midnight (and thank goodness for that!), we kept the party going with both the young and the young-at-heart on New Year's Day.

Happy New Year!

Quiet as a mouse, this one :)

Hat? Check.  Champagne? Check.  Looks like a party!

Best buds!

Sitting down to our traditional New Year's Day pork-and-kraut feast!

After the meal, it was time for a family game of Apples to Apples.  This was a first for Liam, GG, and Aunt Jayne, and it was a riot teaching them how to play!  While it was all about the competition for some...

... for others, it was just silly fun!

And for others... well... this picture really says it all.

Somehow in the midst of all the noise and laughter, there was Joergen in the living room, quietly playing with the creche.

We ended our first day of 2015 with some piano time with Nana.  I hope she's ready to reignite her former life as a piano teacher, because she has two very interested students right here!

Farewell 2014!

To close out 2014, we headed to York along with the NJ G-willies to spend a few days with Nana, Grandpa, and GG.  Our first stop was Normandie Ridge to have lunch with our favorite senior sisters, GG and Aung Jayne, where they bravely hosted 4 under 5 in the Cafe.

Saying grace
After lunch, we settled in for a movie at Nana and Grandpa's.  We love watching movies in 3-D at their house!

Later that evening, it was time to celebrate the end of the year and welcome 2015.

Happy New Year, Uncle Tim and Aunt Jackie!

Happy New Year, canine cousin Lilly!

Happy New Year, Superheroes!
(Good thing these two are here to protect us!)

Happy New Year, Genevieve!  Pick us something good to close out 2014!

(Is it just me, or does Anthony look like a GIANT in this picture?!)

Cheers to the men!

And cheers to the ladies!

Counting down the minutes to 2015... these two can hardly contain their excitement!

Perhaps we should be celebrating here instead? (Taken earlier in the day at Normandie Ridge... some watch the ball drop, others a white rose, but here it's all about the tinseled walker!)

But here's the proof that we did make it to midnight!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
