Visit from Grandma, Papa, and Toni

As the school year was winding down, we got a special visit from Grandma and Papa, who came to stay with us for a few days.  Now, you may be surprised to know that sometimes when grandparents come to visit, they bring with them a few presents for their grandchildren :)  And the very best present of all?

It was such a happy reunion for these sweet cousins!  Toni had just graduated 8th grade, and we were all so excited she could join Grandma and Papa for this trip.

Toni wasn't the only present, however.  Papa couldn't wait to share a couple of very special gifts with Liam and Joergen: their very own fully-loaded tool boxes.

Grandma and Papa, for the win!  Those tools went to good use quickly, as we had some work to do to repair some winter damage to the deck:

Liam had just a few days of kindergarten left but was excited to have new walking buddies to and from school that week.

He was especially excited to have them here for the annual Candlebrook Carnival to celebrate the end of the school year.  We had so much fun!
Uh oh, Toni... back away slowly, before it makes eye contact!

In line for the obstacle course.  Love these two together!

Head to head at the obstacle course... can you guess who won?
Our time together was full of fun, silliness, and great memories.  Some of my favorites:

Toni and J rocking their Silly Putty mustaches at the grocery store :)

Playing in the pool in the backyard... this was taken seconds before Joergen got me right in the forehead with that stream of water!!  It was so fun to hear all their laughter that afternoon!
As a gift to Toni for her 8th grade graduation, and as a Mother's Day present to me, Daddy got us all tickets to go see The Lion King at the Academy of Music in Philadelphia!  That was the first Broadway show that he and I saw together 10 years ago, and I loved sharing it with three of my favorites in the next generation!

Ready for the show to begin!
The show was amazing and we all had a blast!  I knew it was a win when immediately after the show ended, Joergen exclaimed, "I want to watch it again! Right NOW!"

On their last night here, we hosted a family game night at home.

Playing "Camp"-- where I spent most of my time at the camp!  I do not have good luck with that game!

Good job, Daddy!  A true artiste!

Love these three!

Thank you Papa and Grandma for a wonderful visit!
