Illinois Trip

Let's back it up to before the golf outing, when we hit the road pre-dawn and drove to Milford in one day.  I'll admit I didn't think we could do it, but the boys were such troopers that it really was a smooth trip!

Yeah for road trips! Endless movies and snacks!

The boys slept in the car until a little before we hit Pittsburgh (thank God). When Joergen started to wake up, he saw farmland out the window and said, "Guys, I think we're in Illinois!"

So close, buddy... give or take 6 HOURS.

Now THIS is a sure sign we're getting close.

We arrived in Illinois late that afternoon, and two VERY excited little boys couldn't wait to get out of that car, stretch their legs, see their grandparents, and play outside!

It took Joergen about 7 seconds to locate his first tractor.

The next morning, it was off to Peoria for the golf outing weekend.

I sadly had to jump out a flight from Peoria back home to Philly after the weekend due to some work commitments, but Dad, Liam, and Joergen got to enjoy an awesome week back in Milford with Grandma and Papa.  They spent much of their week on a golf course, and I think we now have two budding golfers on our hands.

Joergen asked Grandma to send me this picture so he could show me the lily pads :)

When they weren't on a golf course, they were having fun in the backyard at Grandma and Papa's!
