Liam's Preschool Christmas Program

A few days before our big Christmas trip, Liam sang in his preschool holiday program.  He had been practicing for weeks, and we couldn't wait to see our little guy in action! I dressed him in his new Christmas sweater from Nana and Grandpa, but somehow in the 4 minutes between when I dropped him off in his classroom and when the kids processed into the chapel for the program, he had stripped down to his (blue) undershirt.  So much for looking festive!  The teachers compensated by dressing the kids in the cutest little hats-- reindeer ears for the 2-year-olds, elf hats for the 3-year-olds, and Santa hats for the 4-year-olds.  They were sweet!

Dad surprised us by coming to the program that morning, which none of us thought he'd be able to do.  Liam was thrilled to see his Dad in the audience and to perform in front of a crowd!

The kids did a great job with all the songs, and Liam throughout the program was either enthusiastically into it or utterly distracted by the spectacle.  This pic is more so the former: our little ham, true to form!

After the program, the school hosted a holiday party with tons of treats and snacks for all the kids and their families.  It was so much fun to see all the kids' Christmas decorations they had made at school (and to be able to take home some sweet ornaments that Liam made for our own tree)!  We were especially grateful to Mrs. Tenney, who made a special effort to ensure that the Christmas cut-out cookies that they made as a class for the party were egg- and dairy-free... labeled with a sign that said "SAFE FOR LIAM!"  I had volunteered to make cupcakes for the party, too, which I'm pretty sure no one knew were actually vegan.  It was so reassuring to see the way that Liam's needs are cared for at school, and we feel that God has truly blessed us with the right environment for our boy.
