Great (Great) Aunt Jayne celebrated her 90th birthday a couple of weeks ago, so we traveled to York for the weekend to join in the party (more on that to follow!). The boys were so excited to get to see their cousins Dillon, Gilbey, and Anneke who had come from Rhode Island for the occasion. On Saturday before the party, we all went to the York Fair, otherwise known by Liam as the "BIG Carnibal"! He was awe-struck at all the rides, games, and animals, and Daddy and I could have spent hours wandering around with the kids. We had so much fun!
For only being 2 years old, Liam is pretty much fearless in general, but especially when it comes to rides. As long as he was tall enough to ride it, he was IN! Case in point-- this was the first ride of the day:
I had to ride it with him (lucky me!) along with Dillon and Gilbey, and it was an absolute miracle that no one lost their breakfast! But to see the look on their faces and how much fun they were having... priceless.

Could they be having any more fun?! This ride whipped them around corners in little race cars, and you could hear them roaring with laughter above the sound of the ride:
We took a little break from rides to go check out the animals. Liam got to see a brand-new baby buffalo and laughed out loud at the ducklings falling down a little slide. We were all pretty impressed with this ginormous goose:
The York County 4-H ran a cool little petting zoo at the fair, which we loved. You got to go inside a little fenced-off area, and one of the 4-H kids (who were probably around 10 years old) or adult volunteers would ask you what animal you'd like to hold. Then you just sat on a hay bale, put a little towel on your lap (you know, just in case), and they'd bring the animal right to you to pet and cuddle. It was adorable! Liam learned how to hold bunnies, kittens, and rascally little guinea pigs.
It was an awesome day-- and we can't wait to go back next year!
